MICHELLE LANE
What is Michelle up to? Well, as most of you know, I'm still figuring out the art of Motherhood. Noah is 2 now ... and brings me more joy than I could have ever imagined! He's speaking in sentences now and learning to swim this summer--he LOVES it and we're having a fun summer so far.
The highlight of 2009 was getting to be a part of the closing performance of Avenue Q on Broadway at the Golden Theatre on September 13, 2009. It was an incredibly memorable experience and I was thrilled to be a part of it. I took Bob Bergen's (Porky the Pig) acclaimed Animation Class--which was so much fun. I also learned the art of Puppetry for TV with Michael Earl (Snuffleupagus). Wonderful man and WONDERFUL teacher.
I've had the pleasure of singing with two fantastic Cabaret groups here in LA: Upright Cabaret and Spotlight Cabaret. Each one has their own cabaret once a month. Come by and check them out some time!
Other than that, I am still getting used to my new haircut! I haven't had a bob for 10 years, but everyone seems to like it... I'll get there soon!
UPCOMING PERFORMANCES
Michelle will be appearing in the workshop production of "LOVE BYTES" a new musical by Roger Love and Ann McNamee at ANMT. The only performance will be on Wednesday night, August 11th at the NoHo Arts Center: 11136 Magnolia in North Hollywood. More details to follow.
UPCOMING CABARETS
Michelle will be returning to Upright Cabaret newly branded as "Barre at VT" in August. More details to follow.
